Clinics

Practice Nurse Surgeries And Clinics

Appointments can be given for the practice nurse at any time during their surgery times. Patients do not need to have seen the doctor first.

Patients may see the nurses for advice on diabetes, asthma, heart problems and diet. Appointments may also be made for ear syringing and treatment of cuts or sprains.

Non-NHS Examinations

The doctors are happy to carry out medicals eg insurance and driving licence. Please view our Non-NHS Examinations page for more details.

Health Visitors

The health visiting team is based at Crowborough Hospital. They are able to advise individuals and families on aspects of health and development with focus on the pre-school child. They can be contacted on 01892 669393.

Special Services & Health Promotion

Our practice is committed to provide services not only for the sick but for those wishing to remain well. New patient check-ups, routine follow-up appointments of diabetic, asthmatic or hypertensive patients are by appointment with the practice nurse. The following scheduled services are also established.

Child Immunisation Clinic

Flu Vaccination

An influenza vaccination is particularly recommended for patients with heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes and residents of nursing and rest homes.

Pneumonia Vaccination

Once-only injection recommended for all patients aged 65 and over.

Immunisations

By appointment with the nurse.

Targeted Health Promotion Clinics

By invitation.

Asthma, CHD & Diabetes Clinics

Cytology Clinic

Periodic Health Checks

We encourage all our patients to share the responsibility for their health, both in prevention and treatment of disease. Consultations may therefore be provided for patients aged 16-74 who have not consulted a doctor here within the last three years and for patients aged 75 and over who have not consulted a doctor here within the last year.

Stop Smoking Services

Our practice records indicate that some of our patients are indeed smokers and we know that this carries health issues that could be significantly improved if you could stop smoking.

If you are no longer a smoker, please let us know next time you are in the practice and we can update our records.

Do you want to give up smoking? Have you been thinking about quitting? If so, do you know that at your local surgery you can get access to your local stop smoking service who have a proven track record in helping people to stop smoking and stay stop. If you are interested in giving up or need any advice on the best way to do so why not ring us on: 01323 404600 or Email us at: hello@oneyoueastsussex.org.uk Search us on: www.oneyoueastsussex.org.uk

Whatever your choice, an adviser will see or contact you weekly and will give you support and licensed, regulated medication until you feel you are able to stay quit for good. (Max 12 weeks). Most of the people that the stop smoking service sees, stop smoking - why not join them?
